What does KKona mean?

Based on a picture taken of Konas “Kona” Korner, KKona, where his smiling face was basically cropped from and uploaded to the streaming website Twitch.tv.

The emote can be used call out someone or a situation for being very American or in other words “Redneck”.

The emote has two variants, one of them being a golden version of the original, which can only be obtained by subscribing to Kona’s channel, while the other one being KKonaW, where the original picture of Kona’s face has been cropped and more zoomed in, showing only his eyes, nose and mouth.

What's the origin of KKona?

The original picture was taken in 2010 at the Wizard World Comic Con. in Anaheim, California, but its upload date is unknown to Twitch.tv.

It was the very first emote that was added to the BTTV (Better Twitch TV) browser addon, which enhances your viewing experience on the streaming website Twitch.tv.

Since it being the very first emote added to the BTTV collection, at first it was not so popular, but over the years, it has gained popularity marginally with the addon getting extensively used.

As of 10/12/2019 according to the website StreamElements, KKona is the 26th on the list of most popular/used emotes on the website Twitch.tv, making it one of the more popular emotes.
