Based on a screen capture taken off of Mychal Ronnie “Oddler” Othman’s stream, ResidentSleeper is one of the original emotes created for the streaming website Twitch.tv. The emote features Ronnie sleeping with his head tilted back and mouth open.

The emote can be used to express boredom, lack of interest in someone’s stream or in some cases tiredness on Twitch.tv.

The original picture of what the emote is based on was screen-captured from Ronnie’s stream, where he tried to marathon play Resident Evil games for 72 hours non-stop.

Unfortunately, after 65 hours, he nodded off, thus giving the audience the idea to take a picture and later to create an original Twitch.tv emote, by combining the name of the franchise and his state, ResidentSleeper.

Due to its early upload date and it being an original Twitch.tv emote, it has been used daily since its appearance on the site.

As of 10/12/2019 according to the website StreamElements, ResidentSleeper is the 28^th on the list of most popular/used emotes on the website Twitch.tv, making it one of the most popular emotes.
