Dew It

Meaning

What does Dew It mean?

Dew it is an intentionally misinterpreted version of a famous movie quote, โ€œDo it!โ€, which was uttered by the character Palpatine in the movie Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith.

The meme is primarily used as a reaction image, meaning to command someone to do something, usually with an evil intent.

It also stands as a constituent of Sheevposting, a series of memes surrounding the character of Palpatine.

Origin

What's the origin of Dew It?

Star Wars: Episode III: Revenge of Sith was released in the year 2005 and was the 3rd and last member of the Prequel episodes.

During the movie, we can see Anakin twisted by the evil forces of the dark side and Palpatine, who forces him to battle Count Dooku to the death.

Upon forcing Dooku into submission, Anakin is hesitant to finish the work, but Palpatine insists on killing him. After Anakin is still reluctant, Palpatine utters after a quick dramatic pause โ€œDo it!โ€, which can be heard as if he would have said โ€œdew itโ€.
