The episode features the song We Are Number One, where the main villain, Robbie Rotten (portrayed by Stefán Karl Stefánsson) is teaching his doppelgangers how to be a true villain.

Memes of We Are Number One started appearing online during the fall of 2016, and by December, the first “Here’s a little lesson in trickery” meme also appeared, in a remix of the song, uploaded to YouTube by Mojosoup on December 29th.
In the parody, every line of the original song is replaced with “Here’s a little lesson in trickery”.
