What's the origin of Bada Bing Bada Boom?

The phrase is accredited to Brooklyn based Italian-American comedian Pat Cooper, who is known for his Italian-inspired “Brooklynisms”; phrases like “fuhgeddaboudit” or “whattamigonnado”.

“Bada bing bada boom” appeared in his 1958 The Italian Wedding, where Cooper mentions the phrase in a description of two relatives, eating capicolla sandwiches.
