I don’t like where this is going is a reaction meme based on a quote of famous youtuber JonTron, who uttered the line when he made a reaction video on the children’s anthology TV series Goosebumps.
The meme used usually in an image form to contextually express feeling uncomfortable or being disturbed.

What's the origin of I Don’t Like Where This Is Going?
Goosebumps was a horror series made for children based on R. L. Stine’s novel series bearing the same title. The TV series aired during the 90’s, had 4 seasons, and was a mild success.
JonTron, who is famous for his mocking-parodising style regarding various pop-culture products such as movies and series, made a 2 parts review about the series, where he comically analyzed various scenes of the series. He uttered the line “I don’t like where this is going” in the second video, which has collected over 12 million views since its 2013 upload.

In 2013 a clipped, 5-second version of the video was uploaded on YouTube, titled “JonTron – I don’t like where this is going.”.
Similarly to other JonTron inspired memes, like I have several questions, I don’t like where this is going also spread primarily on Reddit and 4chan.
Eventually the meme’s template was added to creative website Imgflip’s database during the 2010s.
