No anime penguin refers to a three-dimensional stock model of a penguin, wearing a police officer’s hat, paired with the captions “No Anime”.
Online, the image macro is mostly used in an ironic manner, to tease Otakus and Weebs until they start reciting, I Am the Bone of My Sword.
Penguins have a large past among memes, with the iconic Kowalsky Analysis as the number one example.

What's the origin of No Anime Penguin?
While the exact origin of the stock image and its creator is not known, one of the earliest posts, containing the “No Anime Penguin” was uploaded to Imgur in 2017, but was promptly deleted.
The original post was then reuploaded to me.me on December 8th, where it gained some attention.

How did No Anime Penguin spread?
The template first appeared on Reddit on March 28th, 2018, by u/FarGuardian.
“No Anime Penguin” quickly spread across the various subreddits, as well as meme sites, including Imgur, 9GAG, me.me and iFunny, as well as Twitter.
On June 21st, 2018, the r/NoAnumePolice subreddit was launched, revolving around the meme.
