The “I’ll allow it” originates from the Season 1 Episode 12 of Community, titled Comparative Religion, which first aired on February 13th, 2011.
During the episode, students are taking a Spanish final test, showing their knowledge of Donde Esta La Biblioteca, when a fight erupts.
It is here, that the reclined Ben Chang utters the phrase “I’ll allow it”.

It is uncler, when the scene was turned into a popular reaction format, however, by 2013, Reddit was already exposed to the I’ll allow it reaction image and “I’ll allow it” formats.
In the years to follow “I’ll allow it” appeared all across the internet, ranging from sites like Imgur to Facebook pages to the r/memes subreddit.
On April 23rd, 2020, even Ken Jeong featured the meme on his Instagram profile, making a joke about handling kids in a quarantine.
