Floozy is a slang term that is used for a woman of lewd morals, accompanied by a large number of lovers and even more Beta Orbiters.

A “Floozy” may have several names depending on their natural habitat, ranging from Asian Baby Girl to Buckle Bunny.

They may be prone to saying the iconic line: I’m Not Like Other Girls.


What's the origin of Floozy?

Although the exact origin of the slang term is disputed, its history goes back to the end of the 19th century.

There are several other slang expressions which have been claimed to be the predecessor of “Floozy”, with one of them being “Florence” dating back to the 18th century, and the other being “Flossy” which was popular in the 1890’s.

Both expressions were used in their days in the same manner as “Floozy”, which led many to believe that the titular term derived from either one.

“Floozy” started appearing in slang in the United States in the early years of the 1900’s.

How did Floozy spread?

“Floozy” started gaining popularity in the 20th century, with several books, magazines and transcripts mentioning the expression by the end of World War 1.

It became especially popular by the middle of the century and its number of uses grew even further with the approach of the new millennium, due to the fact that “Floozy” wasn’t seen as profane, unlike many other epithets used for women of loose morals.

Today, “Floozy” is highly archaic, making it even go under the radar in some cases, for example, it was included in Season 1, Episode 14 of the children’s animated series Avatar: The Last Airbender.

The term was first defined on Urban Dictionary in 2003, with a veritable plethora of other entries following in the subsequent years.
