What's the origin of I’m Not Strong Enough?
The Incredibles premiered in the United States on November 5th, 2004, gaining huge popularity among audiences of all ages.
Toward the end of the animation, Mr. Incredible is explaining his wife why he is hesitant to let her join the final boss fight, confessing that he can’t lose her again, saying “I’m not strong enough”.

The first image macro memes of the scene were posted to Tumblr by mydollyaviana on January 19th, 2013.
Despite this, the format didn’t gain a larger popularity until after 2016, as “I’m not strong enough” GIFs and image macros started appearing on Facebook, Reddit, 9GAG, me.me and iFunny.
In 2019, the image macros of the scene were used for an alternate meme on Reddit, with different, more profane captions reading “Shut the – up”.
